3/11/2024 — Good morning beautiful people ☀️ I wanted to share some of your favorite things about reading from those who took the quiz on my email list! Most of you prefer contemporary romance, buying books, and paperbacks, and Harry Potter was the top book to movie adaptation. Here are some of the books you all recommended:
Phantom by Greer Rivers (Dark fantasy romance)
The One Hundred Years of Lenni and Margot by Marianne Cronin (Contemporary fiction)
The Book of Joy by Dalai Lama XIV & Desmond Tutu (Nonfiction)
A Psalm for the Wild-Built by Becky Chambers (Science fiction)
I’m so excited to add all these books to my TBR!
For the rest of this email, I wanted to pass along some favorite bookish brands for merch and used books.
ThriftBooks: They sell both cheap, used books and brand new books! Standard shipping can take a while, so be advised.
Estori Collective: This is my go-to shop for book-inspired jewelry. The quality is amazing! This shop is super popular in the bookish community, so you might need to set a timer for restock dates to snag a piece.
Enchanted Oddities: I haven’t bought from this site yet, but they have such an amazing variety of pieces! I may or may not have a few Throne of Glass pieces in my cart as I write this…
Amber Ren Studios: This shop has the cutest pillows and bookmarks! The artist rotates pillow styles, so some new designs may be up in the next few months. Check out the shop’s instagram to see some of their previous bookish pillow designs.
Cottagecore Wear: We love a sustainable small business, but we especially love a sustainable small business that sells fantasy-esque clothing! Boo to my bank account for not letting me order one of the custom corsets.
If you end up ordering any bookish merch or have your own shop recommendations, please pass them along!
Much love and happy reading,
Gail ❤
